English Conversation Classes
These classes are designed to help students improve their English conversation skills, with particular attention given to grammar, pronunciation and reading. Classes are offered every week on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, except during school & public holidays.
Due to the high demand for these classes participants are limited to attending one class per week. Participants can not attend intermediate and beginners classes simultaneously.
Maximum attendance at each level is for one year. Attendance beyond the one year period is subject to agreement and approval by SHNC management staff.

Looking for volunteer teachers
English conversation classes are run by qualified volunteer teachers. The level of English is beginners & intermediate. If you are a TESOL or CELTA qualified teacher and are interested in volunteering to support your community please contact SHNC on 9356 4977.
IELTS Preparation Classes
SHNC provides IELTS (International English Language Testing System) preparation classes. The classes will help you with reading, writing, listening and speaking components of the English language.

All classes are held at the Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre on Level 1, Surry Hills Library and Community Centre, 405 Crown St, Surry Hills.
