English Conversation Classes
These classes are designed to help students improve their English conversation skills, with particular attnetion given to grammar, pronunciation and reading. Classes are offered every week on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, except during school holidays.

Looking for volunteer teachers
Most of our English conversation classes are run by qualified volunteer teachers. The level of English is beginner to intermediate. If you are a TESOL qualified teacher and interested in volunteering to support your community, please contact on or email . The Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre will appreciate your contribution.
IELTS Preparation Classes
SHNC provides IELTS (International English Language Testing System) preparation classes. The classes will help you with reading, writing, listening and speaking components of the language.

Our classes are run on a term by term basis, and you must book in advance at an enrolment session. Ring the Centre to find out the date of the next enrolment session.
